On a farm in central Thailand, an army of 10,000 ducks not only roam but hunt. Rice farmers in Thailand are enlisting these birds, known as “field-chasing ducks” to eat in the rice fields after the harvest.

They help to eat yellow apple snails and rice husks left in the field from the previous harvest. Ducks also step on stubble to flatten the ground and make plowing easier. If you are the owner, please comment on the video. I will follow your request as soon as I read it.

But, who knows? It’s kind of sad that the ducks have to go to killing and processing places, but people need food, too, and meat is a protein not readily available from other sources. Personally, I don’t like the taste of duck, although I realize many people do, so this is a good technique to supply duck meat for them.
