The date palm is a species of the desert palm tree. There are 220 types of dates, or about 20 are commercially viable. A popular dish in the Middle East, they are found in abundance in deserts and around oases.

In the video, the writing on the screen says the trees are planted 1.5 meters apart. That cannot be right as the trees look to be about 15 to 20 feet apart. 1. Fill the space above the soil with water-holding material and paper bubbles.
