In addition to common invasive species such as wild boar, white-tailed deer, and coyotes, agriculture and the natural landscape in America is affected by numerous other invasive species such as swamp rats, Canadian geese, beaver, raccoon, wild turkey or wild horse.
It is estimated that there are at least 7.3 million Canadian geese living in America today, and they are wild animals that cause quite a lot of trouble for farmers and the US government.

I also used to call them Canadian Geese too but was correct by a Canadian. They say that the geese never got their citizenship because they are migratory. So the correct name is Canada Geese.”🙂
Comment 2: Stephen H said: “Not sure Canada geese can be classed as an invasive species, it’s more a migratory bird and there have always been populations of them in the US. In certain areas there may now be more of them and they’ve become a nuisance, but that’s because humans have created the ideal habitats for them, whether it be through agriculture or urban landscaping.”
Comment 3: James Watson said: “There are a number of subspecies of Canada geese and humans have moved them around, often as eggs and young that didn’t imprint as geese do, resulting in non-migratory populations that have wreaked havoc all over North America.”
Comment 4: Ev Bilgisayarı said: “It’s important to work with government agencies and conservation groups to find sustainable solutions for managing wild horses.”
Comment 5: Sidika Basegmez said: “It’s important to remember that even though they’re invasive, Canadian geese and swamp rats are still living creatures and deserve to be treated humanely.”
