I ask not because of germs, but because capsaicin is in the peppers and could burn if you accidentally touch your face.. maybe the ripe dried jalapeno isn’t hot enough to matter. Anything about 10,000 Scoville you should not use bare hands if raw at least. It can be tricky to get off your hands.”
