In this episode of BlacktipH, we have an EPIC day of fishing in Panama, catching monster Black Marlin at Tropic Star Lodge with Guy Harvey. Black Marlin is one of the most challenging fish to catch!
We tagged every Black Marlin we caught with a $5,000 satellite research tag. This tag will track each fish for eight months and provides critical data to scientists. In total, we tagged and released five Black Marlin.

Im from Panama City, Panama and to say my family is connected to nature would be a vast understatement. Together with Filipino in-laws, we’ve grown a great love for the water and all the beautiful animals in it. From my heart, thank you all so much, words can’t even describe. God bless you all.”

Comment 3: Chris Barrett said: “Jealousy is an understatement! I met Guy a couple of times here in Myrtle, and then randomly met him in Grand Cayman on my honeymoon and he was nice enough to spend an hour one on one with us talking.”
Comment 4: Booped Nose said: “This is on my Bucket list. Maybe I may have to settle for taking a picture with someone else catch I get tired too fast. Lol. Seriously a beautiful amazing species they are simply gorgeous.”
Comment 5: Nathan Mapes said: “I am a freshwater fisher and we went to the keys with a couple family’s on Tuesday we took a charter out and we went fishing for about 4 hours just through it these huge live baits hooked onto a tarpon which we lost.
Because when the tarpon jumped it broke the line of an 80-pound nurse shark. And then right as we were about to leave we hooked up to about a 250-pound nurse shark that took around 40 minutes to reel in and as a freshwater fisherman that was the biggest fish I have ever caught.”
Comment 6: Catching Dinosaurs said: “What an insane day those are some massive marlins glad people are spending the time and money to tag and gather data about their species.”
